Alo: Part, is because of self-reflection... how a person physically behaves, is judged by an observer by how the oberver's own self would be expressing the emotions that cause the physical behavior... the person observed, might believe that he is expressing a calm behavior, but, if the observer interprets the behavior to be expressing unmindfulness, then the two individuals will not agree, nor be capable of harmony...
De: Like adult slang... like childish silly...
Alo: Yes... what we see as children acting silly, we see also in some adult outsiders... the adult outsiders have accepted the behavior to be, cool, manly... desirable to other people like themselves.
Yan: I have seen that... people to the east, as well as to the west, it is common for some to act silly, but, to them, their behavior is not silly... to them, their behavior is a mark of what they believe to be desirable.
Alo: Yes, and all cultures are similar... what is normal for one culture, might be offensive to another culture... what might be smart for one culture, is an absence of smart to another culture... it is, the way of man.
Yan: Then, the obvious question... how can we judge whether our own behavior is right or wrong? Smart or not smart?
Alo: Listen to the voice... hear what is within the tones... then compare, to how the body moves... then compare, to how the body smells... if the rhythms, patterns, and chords do not harmonize, then it is known that the person is not behaving with harmony of self.
De: Wind... cliffs... smooth... rise and fall, as is correct...
Alo: Yes... hear Nature... Nature is standard...
De: Man west, man east... same heart, same voice...
Alo: Precisely... it is a wonderful experience to meet good people from other lands, and even if their language is unknown, still, if their hearts are similar to our own, then the people are easily understood... people of similar hearts, their voice tones and rhythms also similar... their body movements similar also... their aromas of emotions similar patterns also... but... similar does not answer the question of what is correct... Nature answers... Nature's curvatures... Nature's ratios.
Yan: Ah, I think I might have an idea of what you are speaking of... like the golden ratio... if a thing's pattern meets a similar ratio as the golden ratio, then it is known to be correct relative to Nature's standard... many ratios, flowing simultaneously, parallel, if their ratios harmonize, then so would be their hearts and minds...
Alo: Yes, very close... this is an easy thing for our people, but not possible for outsiders... we hear, see, and smell the ratios as they occur within durations of fluid movements... to us, it is easy to observe where the ratios touch and harmonize... if there is harmony within the ratios, then one's heart and behavior are also correct... the standard, is Nature.
Yan: I like that... it removes the guessing, and removes one's personal opinion... the decision, is Nature's, not our own.
Alo: Yes... harmony is harmony, and no quantity of philosophical sophisms can change Nature's way... Nature is unchangeable...
Yan: Then that helps me better understand my distaste for some voices... men have stood on stages, making claims, but the tones of their voices did not agree with the spoken words. The tones spoke of deceit, hypocrisy, fake emphases, learned tones, not tones from the heart... dishonest... learned and memorized words and tones, intended to deceive the listeners, to trick the listeners into believing what the men said... the men, to me, possess few or no good inner qualities.
Alo: Yes... the men are common... have been common throughout history... 'Cunning words cause appearance little benevolence'... 'Cunning words, cause the speaker's appearance, to be of little benevolence'... some men speak fancy words, colored with other fancy words, the technique works for audiences who cannot hear tones, nor see body movement patterns, nor smell emotions...
Jun: Target, is disquality people...
Alo: Precisely... the fake voices do not sway smart people... the fake voices only sway not-smart people... a common sales technique.
Yan: Also used in all fields... politicians... book-thumpers... they all speak with similar tones.
Alo: Yes, and there is no other known logical reason for people to speak with the tones, except for the people to knowingly be doing a sales pitch... selling politics, selling cars, selling beliefs...
Yan: And I have also heard parallel tones within each group's music... even their music is expressed with the fake emotional tones... the music, to me, is grating... annoying... fake to an extreme of causing physical nausea.
Alo: Perhaps it is indeed the people's own rhythms and ratios... the ratios are forced, not of harmonious ratios...
Yan: Sad music is sad, because of ratios that mirror sadness... happy music is happy, because of ratios that mirror happiness... voices are similar... voices sing of emotions, regardless of what words are spoken... but now I wonder... if people can so easily recognize the difference between a sad song and a happy song, then why cannot the people recognize the tones of voices?
Alo: I have had a similar question most all of my life, and there does not appear to be an easy answer. Something, about the difference between music and voice, something about the people can hear and respond to the music's emotion, but the people seem to only be able to hear words... perhaps, something, like, maybe, the people cannot hear and reason two things at the same time... I really do not have a good answer, and it makes no sense to me that people cannot think parallel thoughts, but... apparently that is what occurs, or, what does not occur.
Yan: A singular string of thoughts? No parallel thoughts? But, is that even possible?
Alo: According to all known books written by outsiders... yes, that is how they claim to think.
Yan: Scary... but, then, does that not also mean that harmony of thoughts likely could never occur? Harmony does not exist alone... harmony of thoughts, requires more than one thought.
Alo: Ha! Precisely!
