(draft translation of 清靜經 Qing Jing Jing - Quiet Calm Weave)

Yes, it is a popular belief that Buddhist masters attain an 'enlightenment' that enables the individuals to not mentally distinguish shapes, events, etc.. However, the alleged 'enlightened masters' do still discern shapes of food, discern how to chew food, discern thirst, discern hunger, discern where and how to walk, discern when and where to sleep, and in every moment of the 'enlightened masters'' lives they are behaving in opposition of what they claimed for themselves.

Yes, there is a chosen state of mind that self-chooses to not analyze what is seen. The state of mind is like looking at a house while not permitting one's mind to form thoughts of colors, shapes, and concepts of houses. The state of mind is relatively simple, as simple as mentally turning-off being ticklish, or mentally turning-off hiccups. Generally, and differently for each individual, the state of mind is merely a turning-off concious thought and conscious awareness while remaining within a sleep-like state of which the animalistic subconcious chooses one's behaviors.

If an individual actually did eliminate his six desires, seven emotions, and three poisons, then he would be dead within a few days due to the lack of water, food, and conscious breathing.

And he would also not be able to write a book named Qing Jing Jing.

The topic of 中 (zhong) 'middle, center' relates here. Several categories of 'centeredness' can be given, beginning at having none, to having some, to attaining a type of centeredness that is not recorded within any known writing. The cold, callous, uncaring, unmindful, impolite, psychopathic, rude, crude, and ignorant Qing Jing Jing 'centeredness' is merely the one above having none. The Qing Jing Jing 'centeredness' is not so much as being of a similar quality as the common junzi qualities recorded within Confucian texts. A person would be far more bettered by reading the Xunzi books than believing in the Qing Jing Jing book.

The total complete utter absence of positive calmness within ideologies' teachings, proves that the ideologies' 'enlightenment' is merely a self-induced mental negativity.

A public domain translation: "For one who has dispatched with desires, when they observe their mind, there is no mind. When they observe their outer form, there is no such form. When they observe external phenomena, there are no such things."
