清靜經 Qing Jing Jing - Quiet Calm Weave #13

The sentence humorously sounds much like the Hegelian philosophy (i.e. Die Phanomenologie des Geistes), but the ideas within the sentence do have a vague tinge of accuracy. The idea is of consciously self-observing one's absence of conscious analyses. The 'emptiness' word is poor of choice and description, but, in a very vague way, people of whom themselves have never experienced forms of consciously self-observing oneself's thoughts, they may interpret the absence of conscious reasoning to be an 'emptiness'.

The man whose quietude is based upon quality inner traits, his mind is brightly lit of spheres of continuous thoughts, but the thoughts are of harmony with the heart, and the two are outwardly calm within their inwardly brilliant radiances.

The man whose quietude is based upon selfishly following self-hypnotic suggestions from books, his mind is dark, unlit, not in harmony with his heart, and the two draw inwardly like a black hole.

If a man cannot intricately describe his own mind, then the man's mind cannot be of value. The Qing Jing Jing book does not describe the mind.
